Bali Wedding Photographer

Here comes the second part about the Bali wedding photographs of Janis & Jordan. After having worked as their Bali pre wedding photographer I was very much looking forward to also documenting their wedding day.  And what a wedding it was!

Janis & Jordan had chosen a spectacular wedding villa in the Bukit area in South Bali. The altar had been placed atop of an infinity pool with a view to die for…  The chairs, the flower décor, the lampions in the pool , the table décor for the reception, etc… – all a feast for the eye.  And a feast for the camera of a Bali wedding photographer.

Unlike at most other weddings the ladies had their makeup & hair done in the main living room of the villa. I think this was a brilliant idea as it allowed them interact and mingle with their intimate friends and family who had already arrived early. A very relaxed and casual atmosphere. Of course, when it was time to get dressed the ladies disappeared into one of the bed rooms.

The gentlemen were chillin’ in and around the pool – they got dressed rather early because they were to receive and greet the arriving guests.  Most of whom were instantly overwhelmed by the grandeur of this spectacular Bali wedding venue.

Due to the super large and vast garden of this villa I witnessed the longest bridal procession in my career as a Bali wedding photographer.  A good thing!  Because it gives plenty of opportunities to take a variety of photographs during this part of the event.

Once Janis had reached the altar an eerie silence prevailed for a few moments.  The birds stopped to sing and tweet and even the wind stopped for a moment … My only explanation for this is that Janis’ magnificent appearance must have stunned everyone including the wind and the birds… The wedding ceremony was short and sweet. And impressively beautiful.

Working at this venue as a Bali wedding photographer was a bliss because there are so many spots within the villa’s compound that allow for lovely photographs.  The sunsets in this part of Bali are among the most spectacular.

Janis’ and Jordan’s entrance to the reception was among the best I ever witnessed as Bali wedding photographer.  They were led by fire dancers who continued to perform while the newlyweds got seated.

A short while later we left and the party continued into the night. In the following please find my favorite photos of that awesome wedding:

Combined with the pre wedding photographs I took a few days earlier this was another extremely gratifying job as a Bali wedding photographer.

Janis, Jordan – thank you so much for letting me be your Bali wedding photographer.
