A VINTAGE Wedding in Bali

This marvelous Australian, Bali wedding was held in a resort in Kuta.  Part of my assignment was to create a series of Vintage photographs in the style of how the wedding photographs would have looked like if they would have been taken at the time their grandparents got married. Although I am quite familiar with the techniques and looks of photographs from this period it was the first wedding where I had created vintage photographs.

As you can see the vintage look which I realized for this couple was not simply done by pressing the ‘Sepia button’ in Photoshop, but carefully and individually editing each and every photograph in a different way. Some photos were made to look traditionally B@W, some indeed with some sepia toning, some with selenium look and various other techniques. Some photographs still retain a bit of the original color to.

All the photographs were then printed on a specially imported fine-art paper which further enhanced their antique look. They were presented in a custom made album on matted pages. The mother of the groom was driven to tears when she for the first time saw the album.
