Maya Ubud Bali Wedding Photographer

The Wedding of Kellie and Wael at Maya Ubud Bali

As a wedding photographer in Bali I do my fair share of travelling around the island. Ubud is one of my favorite destinations. That is, because Ubud weddings tend to have a special ‘flair & flavor”. Up in Ubud Bali is very lush and green. And I guess that was one of the reasons for Kellie and Wael to hold their nuptials in this fabulous environment. And not just somewhere in Ubud, but in one of Ubud’s most distinguished boutique hotels, perfectly suited for romantic weddings: The MAYA UBUD. I have a done a few weddings up there, but the wedding of Kellie and Wael was among the best ever. The hotel did a fabulous job with the décor and all the other ingredients that made this truly a dream wedding.  Flawless, stunning – perfect !

The entire atmosphere was very relaxed. The groom and groom’s men were ready quite early and enjoyed a drink (or two…) while greeting the arriving guests. Kellie and her bride’s maids were getting ready in one of the resorts fabulous villas. Kellie  looked ‘drop-dead’ gorgeous and very elegant. Not just beautiful bride but clearly a lady with STYLE!

That became even more apparent when she, preceded by the bride’s maids made her entrance and everyone stood in awe. Kellie immediately reigned supreme and owned the space.

The ceremony was, as usual a brief affair, and what made it very special was that the couple not only enjoyed the moment but they had much fun as you can see from the following photographs.

After the ceremony concluded the obligatory group and family photographs were made.  Thanks to Morgan and Eva who coordinate this part very well, we quickly finished this and then the ‘fun part’ started when the couple and the bridal party embarked on a portrait session around the resort. The Maya Ubud is proly one of my favorite resorts when it comes to photography as it has a lot of very attractive locations for photographs – all within the grounds of this spectacular hotel. After the photos with the bridal party were done Kellie & Wael continued taking photographs and we ended the session at a lovely, small temple within the hotels compound.

Wael and Kellie then retired for a moment to ‘chill-lax’  before coming back for the following twilights photos:

Shortly after that the reception commenced, into which the newlyweds made a spectacular entrance.

Kellie, Wael – thank you so much for the opportunity and the privilege to be your wedding photographer in Bali. I genuinely enjoyed working with and for you.

Truly’ – Dominik

UPDATE: I received the following testimonial from Kelly & Wael:

Dominik -Thank you for the fantastic photographs of our wedding. We really had a special time and you captured the moments perfectly for us. We are truly grateful for that.

Wishing you all the best.

Thank you and kind regards,

Kellie
