This wedding was unique in many ways. It perfectly fits into a sequence of UK eloping weddings that were just stunning. Gillian, the bride had a rather unconventional way of booking her wedding in Bali. She started with her Bali wedding photographer, even before she had a venue for her wedding . She even wanted to pay me a deposit for her Bali wedding photographer before she had a date fixed for her wedding. From that approach it became pretty clear that her priority was wedding photography. We discussed several possible schedules and I also advised her extensively on different venues for her wedding.

Gillian was also quite specific on what kind of Bali wedding photographs she wanted. Fortunately all the photo locations she wanted were available on that day. Robert, the groom was very fond of rock formations. An easy one for me, as I have several such locations, right in front of my door.

We also had some wedding photographs taken in rice fields, some Balinese architecture as well as in a forest location.

Because photography was of such high priority for Gillian we decided to ‘sandwich’ the wedding ceremony in-between a photo tour.  So we started with the photo tour in the late morning and visited some marvelous locations in Tabanan.

We then had lunch and afterwards headed to the Santi chapel in Petitenget where the wedding ceremony was held. The light at mid-afternoon at the chapel was stunning and provided for spectacular photographs of their intimate ceremony. After a few more shots at the chapel we continued the photo tour until sunset.  And what a sunset it was…

We were accompanied by one stylist from BALI MAKEUP & HAIR. She kept Gillian’s look and hair in perfect condition throughout the day.

Gillian, Robert I not only had a new client on that day but also made new friends whom I hope to see again at some time in the future.

Guys thank you so much for letting me be your Bali wedding photographer. I wish you all the best and look forward to meeting you again.
