This is the first part in a series of 2 installments about the Bali wedding photographs of Janis and Jordan. There are two reasons why I split their wedding photos into two posts. Firstly because there are simply too many great pictures of this lovely couple. Secondly those Bali wedding photographs were indeed taken in 2 sessions. The reason for this is that Janis on one side wanted to have lots of portrait photographs in Bali’s beautiful environment. But on the other side she wanted to maximize time spend with her family and friends on the wedding day. So they decided to have pre wedding photographs a few days before their wedding. And in this first installment I would like to present you the results from the pre wedding photo tour first.

Before I do so let me tell you a bit about this pre-wedding shoot. Janis and Jordan came over to my place and we had lunch together before Janis had her makeup & hair done. About 40 minutes before Janis’ makeup & hair was completed it started to rain intensively. And it continued to rain while she put her dress on.  For some time it looked like as if we would need to postpone this pre wedding shoot.  But I decided to go for the beach anyway as it looked like the rain had already stopped there. And indeed when we got out  from the car there was just a slight drizzle left. And it stopped to rain only 5 – 10 minutes later. For most part of the photo shoot heavy rain clouds remained in the sky. And by and large it was overcastted. Some of you may think that this is a bad thing. But quite the contrary is true. Those were absolutely perfect conditions – some of the best light I had in a long time for pre-wedding photos in Bali.
