One of the reasons why Natasha and Jules selected me as their Bali wedding photographer was because they loved my casual candid journalism style. And also because I photographed the wedding of their friends over a year ago. You can see that wedding here.
I met with this lovely and laid back couple from Australia a few days before the wedding and we discussed the schedule of events in detail. They also briefed me about they wanted from me as their Bali wedding photographer. I feel it is part of my job as a Bali wedding photographer to provide suggestions and inputs on the ideal scheduling. They took up my advice to have the ceremony rather early in the afternoon. This allowed for plenty of wedding photography time after the ceremony without stress and time constraints. I absolutely loved their idea to have some photos taken of them riding on a scooter.
Tash and the other ladies were getting ready in a villa at the resort. Tash had a special surprise for the bride’s maids: black bathrobes for all of them. While the girls were still giggling and having their makeup & hair completed the groom and the groom’s men were chilling at the hotel’s lounge.
The mid-afternoon light provided for some very warm hues. Exactly the right conditions a Bali wedding photographer could wish for. The crowning highlight of the ceremony was a sand pouring ceremony, symbolizing the inseparable union of Jules & Tash. After the obligatory group and family photographs were taken we started with the scooter photographs before proceeding into the gardens of the hotel.
The last part of the photography took place on the beach, right in front of the hotel. The couple then retired for some time to freshen up. During that period their guest started to sit down at the venue where the reception was to take place. Not long after the bridal party and the newlyweds made a stunning entrance under the cheerful applause of their guests. The overarching theme of the evening was: FUN. .. And a group of fire dancers provided for spectacular entertainment.
I leave you now with some photos of this fantastic Bali wedding:
I enjoyed being the Bali wedding photographer at this fabulous event and I wish Tash & Jules all the best for their life as a married couple. THANK YOU guys….

These are truly treasured memories of the best day of our lives. We are both so truly grateful that you have captured these memories in such an amazing way. I cant believe how many photos there is, I truly didn’t realise you were taking photos most of the time. Which is great as they a truly natural and have captured our personalities well. It was great working with you, as both of us are not big posers, and your style of photography suited us well- both on the day and now looking at these photos. We cant thank you enough.
So how many do we need to choose and how do we let you know which ones we want in the album?
Thank you again – Jules
